Mile Marker NP203 4x2 Conversion Kit is engineered to convert factory full-time New Process 203 transfer cases into part-time four wheel drive systems for improved efficiency and reduced drivetrain wear. Designed for 1973 to 1979 Ford, GM, and Dodge vehicles equipped with the NP203 transfer case, this kit eliminates constant front axle engagement while maintaining the strength and durability of the original transfer case. Full-time NP203 systems were originally designed to keep the front drivetrain engaged at all times, increasing component wear and reducing fuel efficiency. The Mile Marker conversion kit replaces internal differential components, allowing the transfer case to operate in true part-time mode when paired with manual locking hubs. This reduces unnecessary front axle rotation, decreases wear on drivetrain components, and can improve fuel economy while preserving off-road capability when engaged.
