The stock 1994-2003 7.3L Powerstroke liquid-to-liquid oil cooler transfers heat out of the oil and into engine coolant to properly regulate fluid temperatures. It's a stout design that typically performs well. With some of these 7.3L trucks nearing 30 years of age, it's common to find debris clogging the oil cooler internal passages and leaks from the factory O-rings.
